Bundi is a city in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan state in northwest India. It is of particular architectural note for its ornate forts, palaces, and stepwell reservoirs known as baoris.
The town of Bundi is situated 35 km from Kota and 210 km from Jaipur. It is located at 25.44°N 75.64°E and an average elevation of 268 metres (879 feet).
The city lies near a narrow gorge, and is surrounded on three sides by hills of the Aravalli Range. A substantial wall with four gateways encircles the city. It is served by Bundi railway station on Kota-Chittorgarh rail line. Bundi is also known as "Choti Kashi" as there are many old temples in the city, which has been built by kings at their reign. The town of Indragarh and nearby places are famous for the renowned temples of Bijasan Mata and Kamleshwar.

By plane
The nearest airports are in Jaipur and Udaipur.

By car
Bundi is well connected by road to cities such as Delhi (475km), Jaipur (215km), Udaipur (270km), Chittorgarh (150km), Ajmer (175km), Kota (40km), Sawai Madhopur/Ranthambore (120km), and Agra (400km).

By bus
Buses operate between Bundi and the major cities in Rajasthan. However, for long distances, the train is recommended as it is faster and more comfortable. Buses operate regularly between Bundi and Kota, which has more train connections than Bundi. The local bus to Kota runs every 15 mins and takes 50 mins. The cost is 35rps.

By train
Direct trains are available between Bundi and Delhi (8 hours overnight, Rs.315-1,915), Sawai Madhopur (2.5 hours, Rs.170-1,230), Udaipur (5.5 hours, Rs.210-1,230), Chittorgarh (2.5 hours, Rs.170-1,230), and Kota (1 hour, Rs.140-690).
